Junior Olympic Archery Development
JOAD is a youth-focused archery development program designed for archers between the ages of eight and twenty. It is affiliated with USA Archery and follows the national Junior Olympic Archery Development model. This program offers a progression-based learning structure that supports both recreational archers and those with competitive goals. It emphasizes safety, discipline, technical growth, and mental focus, while fostering a sense of community among young athletes.
The goal of the Archer’s Path JOAD program is to teach consistent recurve archery fundamentals in a way that supports each student’s development. Instruction goes beyond basic shooting and includes mental skills, range etiquette, physical awareness, and performance preparation. Youth archers are guided through clear milestones and are recognized for their progress using USA Archery’s JOAD pin award system.
Adult Archery Program
The Adult Archery Program at Archer’s Path is a structured training option for adult archers of all experience levels, offering recurve, barebow, and compound disciplines. It follows a progression-based approach similar to JOAD, focusing on skill development, consistency, and proper technique.
Participants receive bi-weekly coaching sessions, guidance for independent practice, and support with equipment setup and tuning. The program is designed for both recreational shooters and those interested in competitive archery, with an emphasis on building strong fundamentals, improving performance over time, and preparing for tournament participation if desired.
Coaching Membership
Includes four dedicated private session per month focused on form development, shot execution, and progression planning. Coaching extends beyond the session through ongoing guidance and mentorship during independent practice days.
This membership also includes participation in the Junior Olympic Archery Development program, creating a structured environment with both individual coaching and group-based training.
Bow tuning, general equipment maintenance, and arrow building and repair are included as part of this program. This ensures the archer’s entire setup continues to support proper form, consistency, and performance.
