Compound 101
Learn on Your Bow
Compound 101 is Archer’s Path’s foundational course for archers who own a compound bow and want to learn how to use it correctly. This program is built around your equipment, not a loaner setup. You will learn using your own bow so your form, anchor, sight marks, and adjustments are built specifically for you.
This is not a “try archery” class. It is a structured introduction to shooting a compound bow safely and consistently while understanding how your equipment works.
The course is designed to give new compound archers the tools needed to practice correctly, make basic adjustments, and build a repeatable shot process.
Course Format
Compound 101 is taught in three parts.
Two small group instructional sessions followed by a scheduled private intensive.
The group sessions introduce the fundamentals and allow students to learn alongside others in a structured environment. The private intensive provides one on one coaching to refine form, correct equipment setup, and address the individual needs of the archer.
Session 1 – Foundations and Equipment
90 minutes
Students will learn range safety, compound bow components, safe draw and let down procedures, and the fundamentals of stance, grip, and anchor. Equipment will be inspected to ensure it is safe and appropriate for training.
Session 2 – Form and Sight Use
90 minutes
This session focuses on developing a repeatable shot sequence. Students will work on alignment, peep and sight picture, release execution, and follow through. Sight adjustments and reading arrow groups will also be introduced.
Private Intensive – Individual Coaching
Scheduled separately
The private intensive is a one on one coaching session designed to refine what was learned during the group sessions. We focus on personal shot execution, equipment setup, and individual corrections that help the archer move forward with confidence.
